Café De La Paix

Cafe de la Paix is one of the truly famous parisian cafés. It has a history of more than 150 years – being founded in 1862 to serve the Grand-Hotel de la Paix. Being close to the Paris Opera the café quickly gained popularity among many great Parisian cultural figures. If you choose to visit this prestigious café, you will be following the footsteps of famous clientele, including Emile Zola, Guy de Maupassant and the king of United Kingdom Edward VII and Oscar Wilde. In the 70´s the French government honored to café with a status as a historic site.
